The company began as Lucas Cedar and Redwood Supply in 1981. The company was on a small piece of property on FM 1097. As the company grew, more space was needed. They bought property and moved the company to its present location on FM 830. The company continued to grow and develop relationships and friendships with mills, vendors, builders, and other retailers. In June of 2000, the owner decided to pursue other interests and sold the company to long term employee and office manager Louetta Walker. Mrs. Walker along with two key investors, changed the company name to Lucas Cedar, Inc. and have done a tremendous job of growing and expanding Lucas Cedar to the point where it is today.
